How to register

The training is addressed to:

  • Contact points of relevant local, national, regional and European farmers’ and veterinarians’ professional organisations or associations (under the overall logic of “Train the Trainers”)
  • Representatives of veterinary schools (under the overall logic of “Train the Trainers”)
  • Veterinarians working with food-producing animals ((including equine veterinarians for those equids considered as food-producing animals)
  • Farmers keeping food-producing animals (terrestrial and aquaculture)

To register, follow these steps:

You will be redirected to Microsoft Forms. Please, fill in the form to register your participation and make sure you include your email, as we will use it to send information about the training session. Have in mind that no registration procedures will be done by email.

After your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. Have in mind that registering does not automatically grant confirmation of your participation. To ensure a high level of representation from diverse sectors, participation slots are to be balanced among farmers and veterinarians and among the different sectors (bovine, swine, small ruminants, poultry, horses, rabbits, fish, among others). Confirmation for onsite participation will be sent afterwards and those participants not attending the training onsite, will be invited to attend the training online. A registration form for online participants will be available.

Accommodation Policy for onsite confirmed participants

The following accommodation and travel policies apply only for those accepted and fully confirmed onsite participants. Further information will be provided to the confirmed onsite participants as the date of the training session approaches.

The project will organize and cover accommodation in single rooms at a four-star hotel in the city or town where the training takes place.

  • Accommodation will be organized, if possible, at the same venue as the training. As an alternative, accommodation will be organized near the venue of the training session.

  • Full board, including breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and dinner will be organized and covered by the project during the entire duration of the training session.

  • The project will not cover personal expenses such as mini-bar, laundry, room services, and extra drinks/meals. These items will be charged to the participants

Travel Policy for onsite confirmed participants

In addition to accommodation, the project will organize the travel arrangements and cover the travel expenses for all participants according to the following options:

  1. Train or Bus: Based on availability, the project will buy train/bus tickets for those participants who select this option in the registration form. The tickets will be delivered to the email address provided in the registration form.
  2. Air transport: Travelling by airplane is limited to those participants travelling distances over 500km and land transport should be preferred over air transport. Based on availability, the project will buy airplane tickets for those participants who select this option in the registration form. The tickets will be delivered to the email address provided in the registration form.

Transfers from the airport and bus/rail stations to the training venue or hotel locations and vice versa will be covered by the project subject to previous validation from the project’s team requested no later than 3 weeks before the training Reimbursement for transfer expenses from and to the nearest rail station or airport will be validated by the project manager beforehand and will be made in cash in Euros during the event, upon the presentation of valid receipts.   

 

Travelling in a personal vehicle – parking and reimbursement policy for onsite confirmed participants The reimbursement of land travel expenses for participants travelling in a personal vehicle will be calculated and informed to the onsite conformed participants as the date of the training session approaches.

 

Reimbursements are subject to prior approval of the Project Manager. The following steps are to be taken to request a reimbursement:

 

  1. Each participant must inform through the registration form that he/she will be travelling in a personal vehicle.

  2. Each participant must inform through the registration form his/her city or town of residence.

  3. Those participants who have informed the above through the registration form will be contacted via email by the Project Manager after the confirmation of their participation to inform the amount in Euro to be reimbursed.

  4. Reimbursements will be paid in cash during the training. To confirm that the participants have travelled with a personal vehicle, the Assistant Event Manager will ask the hotel for a list of the parked vehicles.
